A study conducted by The McCormick Group has revealed that there were 14 lateral moves in the Labor & Employment area in Texas during July. Overall, there were 3 partner moves, with another 5 moves at the counsel level and 6 moves by associates. These totals include three attorneys who primarily focus on Immigration Law.
There were two groups that moved. Those included:
- One partner and one counsel who moved to Fisher Phillips in Dallas from The Stewart Law Group.
- Two Immigration counsels who moved to Ogletree Deakins from Berry Appleman & Leiden.
Only one other firm, Lewis Brisbois, reported hiring more than one L&E lawyer.
Dallas and Houston tied for the most active markets, with 5 moves apiece.
There were 3 moves in Austin, and 1 in San Antonio.
