Steve Nelson was quoted in Ryan Harroff’s article Facing a Tough Job Market in Big Law, Staying Put Might Pay Off Later For Government Attorneys. That article cited TMG’s recent report indicating hiring of lawyers from the government is at record levels, and also included Steve’s comments that many lawyers are looking to leave government positions are doing so partly on principle, rather than for pure career advancement.
“What we’ve seen in the last couple of months is that these are people who have become available because of what the administration is doing and their attitudes towards that.” Nelson said, adding that “there are some people who are forced out, and some who just…don’t want to work in this administration.”
