Jim McGarry is a Consultant in the Not-for-Profit/Association Practice of The McCormick Group. He specializes in the recruitment of executives and senior staff for associations, foundations, and not-for-profit organizations. In addition, he has had successful placements with several Public Affairs and Government Relations firms. During his first year with The McCormick Group, Jim set a new corporate placement record and was awarded the "Corporate Rookie Account Executive of the Year."

Prior to joining The McCormick Group, Jim spent 10 years in association management. Just prior to joining The McCormick Group, he was the President and COO of the Independent Office Products and Furniture Dealers Association. He was also Managing Trustee of the Association’s 501(c)(3) Scholarship Fund, and its ERISA Group Insurance Trust. Before joining the association, he held senior management positions with dealerships of business products and office furniture in Wilmington, Del. and Philadelphia, Pa.

Jim received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from The University of Delaware.
